EAE Madrid welcomes over 1,000 students

EAE Madrid held the WELCOME week for the October 2025 intake, with the School welcoming over 1,000 new students from over 60 countries, starting their programs in Full Time, Part Time and Weekend formats.

The week from 21st to 24th October was full of activities designed to guide new students and help them settle into the academic community of EAE Madrid. The starting point was the Connect Day, held on Tuesday 21st October, at the Loom venue in Azca, with the participation of the Dean, Lola Salcedo, who welcomed the new students, highlighting the importance of attitude, community and continuous learning as fundamental pillars of the EAE Madrid experience. Likewise, Lola gave them some sage advice: “Let this stage transform you, ask questions, collaborate and dare to step out of your comfort zone. Build strong relationships, listen, participate and make every day an opportunity to learn.”

The day was divided into two parts: a session in Spanish in the morning and another in English in the afternoon. In the morning session, the presentation was led by Esther González Arnedo, the Director of the Master in Human Resources and Talent Development, In the afternoon, Alexia De La Morena, Director of the Master in Marketing and Commercial Management, enthusiastically guided the students enrolled on the Master’s programs taught in English. In this second session, the Vice-Dean of Students and Programs, Juan Carlos Higuera, encouraged international students to “take advantage of every learning opportunity, both inside and outside the classroom.”
 

The following Department Directors participated in the two sessions:

•    Fernando Fernández, Director of the Marketing and Digital Transformation Department 
•    Óscar Quero, Director of the Tech, Data & Supply Department 
•    Pablo Medina, Director of the Business and Talent Department 

In his speech, Fernando Fernández highlighted that “Our purpose is to train leaders capable of connecting brand, people and purpose in a world that is constantly changing.”

The Academic Coordination, Careers and Entrepreneurship teams also took part, highlighting the support, employability, and entrepreneurial spirit that characterize the School. Evangelina Di Salvo, the Head of Academic Coordination, emphasized the importance of close communication with students; Santiago Tobón, the Director of EAE Madrid Entrepreneur, encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities to start their own ventures; and Carlos Navarro, the Career Advisor, underlined the use of artificial intelligence applied to sustainable employability strategies.

In addition, two guest alumni, Paul McFarlane and Nadya Semenova, shared their professional experiences after their time at EAE Madrid and encouraged the new students to make the most of every opportunity for learning and growth. Their insights inspired the newcomers, reminding them that attitude, effort and connection are key to success.

The event concluded with a networking session on the terrace, where new students had the chance to start building their professional network and enjoy the international atmosphere that characterizes the school.

The Welcome included a variety of activities at the Joaquín Costa Campus, ranging from information sessions and stands to games and exercises with the coordination teams. Then, on 22nd, 23rd and 24th October, students enjoyed the Kick Off, which gave them a deeper insight into the academic program and the key tools for success.

The October 2025 WELCOME week reaffirmed EAE Business School Madrid’s commitment to training global leaders prepared to transform organizations and generate a positive impact on society. With a mix of guidance, inspiration and connection opportunities, the week marked the beginning of a new academic and professional stage for the EAE Madrid community.
