Artificial intelligence was the main topic of Alumni Connect, organized by the EAE Business School Alumni Department. This event, designed to strengthen the alumni community, stood out by analyzing the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work and education.

AI, a necessary paradigm shift for competitiveness

Ramón Abella opened the event by thanking those attending and highlighting the importance of AI as a lever of transformation for companies and professionals. Jordi Marín, director of the Nex-AI Center at Planeta Formación y Universidades, then gave a presentation in which he explained how AI represents a business paradigm shift that goes far beyond a mere technological tool. “AI not only automates tasks, but also influences decision-making and generates intelligent agents capable of acting autonomously,” he stated.

Jordi Marín emphasized the importance of training employees and providing them with AI tools in a planned manner so they can understand and leverage the impact of this technology in their daily work. "The goal is to simplify processes, increase efficiency, and foster a more proactive relationship with customers, anticipating their needs," he noted. He also emphasized that AI will be key to the creation of new products and business models that will drive companies' digital evolution.

The director of Nex-IA also presented the center's four strategic pillars: training, research, innovation labs, and communication, designed to boost academic training, support researchers, foster business innovation, and position the institution as a benchmark in AI with social impact.
