Publicado: | Actualizado:

The European Union is navigating an increasingly complex international environment, characterised by rising geopolitical instability, intensified global economic competition and rapid technological change.

In this context, the Vice-Dean’s Office for Faculty Affairs is hosting the conference “The Future of the EU in the Current Geopolitical Context”, featuring Ignacio Samper, a senior EU official with extensive expertise in European institutional and strategic affairs.

Throughout the session, the main challenges facing the European Union will be explored, including the growing geopolitical tensions and developments such as the US–China trade conflict, as well as the broader reconfiguration of the global balance of power. The conference will also address key questions regarding the sustainability of the European model and its capacity to serve as a global reference framework.
