EAE Business School Madrid impulsará 23 proyectos culturales

EAE Business School Madrid will accelerate 23 cultural projects

• This initiative of the Community of Madrid fosters entrepreneurship through the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union’s Next Generation program.

Through the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and sport, the Community of Madrid has published the final list of the 52 projects selected to take part in its cultural acceleration programs, which will receive almost 5 million euros in total financed by the European Union’s Next Generation funds.

Of these 52 projects, 23 will accelerate their business ventures with the support of EAE Business School Madrid, which forms part of Planeta Formación y Universidades. The projects focus on the areas of performing arts, visual arts and cultural events, publishing and creative services, as well as design, architecture, advertising, services, culture and cultural heritage.

According to Carmen Martos, the Director of EAE Madrid’s Impact and Drive Innovation Hub, “the cultural accelerator marks a significant milestone in EAE Business School Madrid’s commitment to boosting innovation, entrepreneurship and taking creative projects to the next level. Cultural projects play an essential role in supporting communities, revitalizing economies and nourishing creative expression. The projects will be able to amplify their impact, using digital technologies, all with the common goal of helping them generate greater revenues and reach new audiences”.

Not only will these entrepreneurial initiatives benefit from an injection of capital to boost their progress, but they will also receive comprehensive accompaniment, ensuring the successful implementation of the ideas with the greatest potential for growth. The School will play a key role in this process as a mentor and tutor through intensive training programs designed to promote a cooperative ecosystem with other key stakeholders and strategic players in the sector.

Through this initiative, EAE Madrid is striving to boost entrepreneurship and talent in the region, strengthening the value chain of the cultural and creative industry, thereby helping to stimulate the recovery of the Spanish economy.

The overall goal is to enhance the value of the cultural industry in Spain and position the country as a leading audiovisual hub in Europe.

EAE BUSINESS SCHOOL MADRID’S COMMITMENT TO ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAMS

EAE Business School Madrid is a key player in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship thanks to its initiatives designed to promote the creation of new projects. Over the past six years, the School has played a crucial role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, benefitting more than 3,500 students. With an average of 500 entrepreneurs per edition, these initiatives have helped bring to life and grow a total of 257 projects over this period.

These programs provide training, opportunities for networking and professional guidance to help students navigate their way through all the stages of creating a new business. One of the main training programs is EAE Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Network, which consists of a three-phase acceleration program. The students have the chance to steer their projects forwards through the initial stages, get market validation and run pilot trials with institutions. Experts in validation, Lean Coaching, business models, digital marketing, sales, operations, and financial and legal aspects accompany the students throughout each phase.

The teams also benefit from specialist mentoring from startup consultants and professionals in the sector. Over the course of six months, they participate in events to find collaborators, connections and customers. They regularly present their Investor Pitch to experts and receive constructive feedback to improve their strategies to drive sales and obtain financing.

The whole process culminates in Demo Day, when the teams present their projects to investors and key played in Spain’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The learning approach is adapted to each phase, with challenges and objectives set in agreement with the experts.

Moreover, the services available to the projects include technological tools, legal and administrative advice, training in Lean and Design Thinking methodologies, monthly coaching sessions, mentoring, networking and meetings with successful entrepreneurs.
